Mercedes Benz Showroom – Brentford

Mercedes Benz recently opened new car showroom based in Brentford which has been fitted with our latest LiGO smart lighting control technologies.

The car showroom was a new building and our LiGO lighting controls were specified to maximise energy savings and to enable the control of the showroom lighting both automatically and manually.

Working with the main contractor D&D Building Consulting and Premier Electrics the system was installed and commissioned at the site. The project involved the installation of LiGO+ hardware, along with MSensors, Scene plate switches and the integration of an iPad to enable manual control when required.

The LiGO was set up with pre-programmed lighting scenes which could be selected via the iPad to highlight various different prestige cars around the show room, either manually or as part of a automated scheme which can be adjusted or changed as required.

Energy savings are being made by using the LiGO technologies built in daylight balancing/ harvesting functionality which lowers light levels based on the levels of natural daylight in the showroom. This also creates a more natural environment within the showroom for visitors.

The final requirement was to ensure the lighting controls were integrated into the on site Building Management System. This process was simple as our LiGO hardware is designed to be integrated into systems of all types using multiple protocols.

Overall this successful project has provided the customer with easy to use and adjust smart lighting control solution, which enables them to highlight areas of the showroom as they require, while also maximising the energy savings and visitor experience.
